The Great Outdoors my ass.
I feel so unartistic when I say that I hate to paint outside. I'm trying to nudge the experience today out of my mind. The weather conditions did not suit painting one bit...not one bit. I was in the shade while it was at least 60 and the wind was horrible. My easel fell over a few times and I got DIRT on my PAINTING. I was pissed at mother nature and my professor for tossing us out there when he himself did not come. And my only surviving lighter broke...ah fuck it all.

The only upside to the experience was that the campus was beautiful. We drove over to our sister school which abuts a very lovely golf course and we painted a landscape. *snort* All these old golfers kept driving by and looking at me funny. I eventually stopped trying to paint and packed my shit up and watched others attemp to paint while I soaked up some Vitamin D; mainly to unthaw my hands.

And guess what? I've got to do it all over again next week! Oh NOES!

Hopefully the weather will be nicer.

Ohh...why didn't I think of that? LOL. I'm sure my professor'd get a kick out of that.

"Is that grass in your paint?"

"Why yes it - how nice of you to notice."
